Elke & Andy The Wedding that Rocked Walpersdorf Early August, I was shooting a wedding at the picturesque backdrop of the renaissance castle. This venue is one of Austria´s most beautiful castles named Schloss Walpersdorf located in Lower Austria. What makes this fabulous location perfect for a wedding is the fact that it offers everything: a wonderful garden where the guests enjoyed a delicious drinks and fingerfood, an intimate chapel where the couple got married and a nice ball room for dinner, and party. The couple got ready separately, fortunately both process has been covered. Andy spent the morning in a modern cozy apartman with his bestman, just a ten minute drive from the Castle. Elke and her company had a lot of fun during the make-up. Kicking off a wedding day like this is always a good sign for me.  Elke looked stunning in her dress by Kelly Faetanini, no wonder Andy couldn´t keep his eyes dry. We didn’t set up a first look, the couple met according to the traditions at the chapel. The most memorable part was definitely the ceremony closing song, literally everybody was singing and clapping together, including the couple, family, and guests. Believe me, if I had known the lyrics, I’d join them.  “What a party,” summed it up Elke their wedding what is probably the most romantic day of her life. The dream of a successful summer party with all the people they love, came true all in white. This wedding means a more than a lot to me. Zsófi & Dávid Daalarna Bride’s Evening Ceremony at Haraszthy Vineyards Since the pandemic, wedding planning is all about making sure guests feel comfortable enough to show up in person for the ceremony, even if government gives green light to hold such an event. Zsófi and Dávid were one of the couples who insisted on getting married in front of the people they love. The venue was the Haraszthy Vineyard, which finally showed its sunny side weeks after my gloomy wedding there in June. I really liked the idea of an unusual timeline. While afternoon ceremonies are most common, the couple hosted an evening ceremony, followed by congratulations and party. The guests were arriving at late afternoon. Welcoming at such a manner has provided a comfortable experience, a perfect way to create an initial connection point between them. It was followed by the dinner with a specal guest, a popular singer filled the venue with some hits in the background. With all stomach full, it was time for the ceremony outside under the stars. Outdoor celebrations allow fully customised wedding decor, the eye catching moon and barrel installation was really one of a kind. Marcia & Simon Destination Wedding with a breathtaking view at Fisherman’s Bastion, Budapest. As a wedding photographer it is always exciting to be a part of such important and meaningful celebrations. Marcia and Simon are living in Florida. Nina & Attila An Award Winning German – Hungarian Destination Wedding in Budapest. “This wedding is special for me.” Said Andi the wedding planner while discussing the upcoming German-Hungarian international wedding. I met Nina and Attila first at the engagement session that took place at Budapest downtown. A few hours of fun made me clear that our journey – what couldn’t be washed away by the storm of the summer -is nothing but special for me either. Attila works as a doctor in Germany. He met with Nina at the hospital they work. After months of dating, engagement came, and began planning the wedding. Attila already knew Andi the wedding planner, she recommended me as a photographer who put much emphasis on capturing every single moment during wedding day. Dóra & Balázs A Modern Wedding at Industrial Venue Refreshing elegant modern wedding at industrial vibes venue. The first time we met to discuss the details of their wedding day and get to know a bit each other, I noticed how Dóra and Balázs  have a truly authentic relationship with each other. I can tell you this shines through in every photo I took of them.  The bridal preparation was just a few blocks from me, it was one of the rare occasions I was not in a hurry to join the day. When I stepped in the apartment an utterly cute Cavalier puppy got obsessed with my shoes Her name was Mia, a big chunkc of the bride’s heart – probably just checked my good old Jack Russel’s scent. There was no hurry, not at all. Ideal scenario for me to be more creative. A shark jaw on the shelf put me into that state of mind to do something different. I set up the dress and some off camera lightings for a crazy detail shot. The megalodon – highlighted below.  After church ceremony we headed to the venue called Off Kultur. Anett & Willem An adorable couple from New York, a wedding in the most beautiful places in Budapest. Anett and Willem are living New York, they are Hungarian-Dutch couple full of life and passion. They decided to tie the knot in the most beautiful city you can ask for your destination wedding, Budapest. When it came to the first thoughts of planning, their ideas were completely similar –  both envisioned an elegant, classic, great wedding. Willem visited Hungary and Budapest a lot in the years before the wedding and he totally fell in love with it. He wanted his family and friends to enjoy the beauty of the city as well.  Many friends mentioned that they had long wanted to get to Budapest, and our wedding was finally the perfect excuse to make the trip a reality. For some, this was the first time in Europe. During the wedding we managed to present the city and Budapest showed its beautiful sight. Everyone liked the local cuisine, praised the downtown restaurants, the vibes. The Basilica was clear, Anett was baptized there and her parents were married there long ago.  The most memorable moments were getting ready with the girls and mom, the excitement in front of the Basilica, getting into the Fisherman’s Bastion, lots of congratulations from loved ones from all over the world, the portraits at the Castle and Basilica, and the surprise slideshow from the bridesmaids. It was all fantastic and memorable. “All in all, my most beautiful experience was that so many gathered in Budapest for our sake.From New York, Seattle, Miami, San Diego, all over the Netherlands, among my coaching girlfriends of the  national team, all of my close  volleyball coaches, everyone has devoted time and energy to being there and celebrating with us, and we will be grateful for that forever. Our goal was for our friends to get to know each other, so we organized various programs before and after the wedding. Anastasia & Adam The Beauty of a Russian Bride – Anastasia & Adam’s Story When two hearts are meant for each other, no distance is too far. A bride from Moscow and a groom from Dublin are tying the knot in Budapest, one of the most beautiful view a couple can ask like the Castle, Heroes Square, Danube riverside. I was surrounded with guests from all around the globe, The only – but important – Russian tradition was the karavay, a traditional round Russian yeast sweetbread usually baked for weddings. Karavay is seen as a symbol of happiness and affluence. The puffier the karavay – the happier and richer the newlyweds will be once they taste it. The parents invite both the bridegroom and the bride to take a bite of the karavay – without using their hands. Whoever takes the largest bite is considered to be the head of the new family.The rest of the karavay is divided among the guests; it is thought that in sharing karavay with relatives and friends, the newlyweds are also sharing their happiness. Kata & Bence Story Award Winning Wedding at Ferenc Major It would not have been possible to wish for a stronger start to this year’s season, Kata and Bence’s wedding was perfect despite the unfriendly weather. The location was the Pikant Pajta, we chose a separate day for the couple’s portraits to take a few photos in the Castle in a summer atmosphere. Once again, I would like to thank Zoltan Herczeg for being the second photographer to help me telling this unforgettable, energic story, which I later submitted at an international documentary wedding photo contest. Nikolett & Attila I’ve been waiting a long time to share the story of this summery October Friday. About a month before the wedding, Attila the groom reached out me to shoot their wedding day. The bridal preparation took place at a small but cozy make up salon in the city. For more interesting results, I used combination of reflections and creative lighting. My highly recognised Marilyn Monroe photo is one of the most technical I’m proud of. After the ceremony, we had a limited hour for portraits at the autumn sunset of the Ozon Hotel on the top of Mátraháza. Andrea & Tamás Daalarna Bride’s Bid Day at Zala Springs This mid summer wedding was fun, was beautiful and it was certainly lovely. I was able to get known Andrea & Tamas months before when we met for their engagement photo session. I could see why they belong together. They were adorable during the photoshoot at downtown of Budapest. Zala Springs Resortot is a place that immediatly makes you feel welcome and takes your breath away. One of the cool things about this resort is that the modern minimal design buildings sit nearby a large golf course with a lake, so you can have your ceremony lakeside.
